Communication & Healing
Connecting horses & their humans
Individual local Visits (up to 30 miles from Equi~Speak) are £70.00 per horse/pony.
Visits further than 30 miles, will attract additional travel cost.
I always aim to link individual people and groups in the same areas to minimise both travel and costs.

What happens during a Visit?
I begin the session by explaining to the horse who I am, what I’d like to do & asking them if they consent to my help. At this stage, I make the horse aware that they only need communicate with me if they wish to do so.
Healing
I then continue to communicate with the horse whilst locating where any emotions are held in their body from past trauma. I explain to the horse’s human exactly where I feel energy blockages, suggesting how this may affect the horse’s way of going.
I then heal the area - during the healing the horse will often lick, chew & yawn, releasing the energy blockage from within. Occasionally, they may relive past fear, anger & confusion from previous experiences, resulting in my being pulled around, bitten & kicked as their emotions continue to be released.

With some horses, full healing can take more than one session – this may be because the trauma is very deep set and/or the horse is reluctant to release the blockage. If the horse is very deeply traumatised, it is sometimes necessary for the initial healing to be given at a distance (e.g. from outside the stable).

At the end of the session the horse may be exhausted but by releasing the energy blockages the horse is able to relax in every way – emotionally & physically.
It’s not unusual for a horse to lie down & fall into a deep sleep after their session.
Please be prepared to allow the horse to rest for the remainder of the day and, preferably, the following day too.

By releasing the energy blockages and counselling them through the event that has caused it, I aim to bring the horse peace.
The horse’s human sees and feels the difference, not only on the ground but also when they ride; the stiffness has gone, the body and mind are relaxed and the human has begun to understand the horse with a better mutual connection.

Communication
During the session I am constantly communicating with the horse.
It’s difficult to explain exactly how they “speak” to me and the method the horse chooses is as individual as the horse is! Most commonly, they give me words, phrases, names & pictures.
With some horses who have connected with me on a deeper level, I experience the discomfort/pain they are experiencing in my own body. It is really not unusual for me to cry their tears for them or to laugh out loud (many horses have a very good sense of humour!!!)
Often, the horse’s human feels the emotions too – please be prepared for this.

I tell the horse’s human EXACTLY what the horse has told me. Sometimes this can be unpleasant for the human but it is my promise to the horse – to be their voice, to speak for them - and it is a promise I WILL NOT break.
Therefore, please be aware that you may hear some (uncomfortable) truths about what the horse really thinks of you.

Often the horse will speak about its past & sometimes this can be traumatic for the horse’s human to hear. For this reason, it may be advisable to have a close friend/family member available to support you after the session.
